We work with 100% cotton handloom, a traditional Sri Lankan textile made on manual looms by skilled weavers, and plant-based leather alternatives that are soft, durable, and cruelty-free.

Our handloom is sourced from Selyn, a fairtrade certified company and one of Sri Lanka's most respected handloom producers. Choosing Selyn isn't just about quality; it's about knowing exactly where our fabric comes from, who made it, and that they were treated fairly in the process.

Our batik range takes the same considered approach. We reuse batik wax wherever possible to reduce waste, and all water used during production is filtered responsibly before disposal, because what goes into a waterway matters just as much as what goes into a bag.

Plant-based leather alternatives complete the picture; soft, durable, cruelty-free, and chosen because nothing in an ALEAF piece should come at someone else's expense.
