Desserto key features:
- 🌱 Organically grown : Desserto is organically produced enabling environmental preservation as no chemicals are used.
- 🌍 Carbon negative : The Nopal Cacti ranch is carbon negative. In 14 acres of organic cactus plantation, 8100 tons of CO2 is absorbed annually.
- 💧Water efficient : Cactus plants are water-efficient, requiring minimal irrigation.
Piñatex key features:
- 💰 Additional income : 100+ jobs are created in rural Philippine communities and the sale of waste pineapple leaves provides local farmers with additional revenue.
- 🌍 Carbon emissions reduction : In making Piñatex, 264 tons of Carbon Dioxide are saved by using instead of burning 825 tons of waste from the pineapple harvest.
- 🌈 Organic dyes : Piñatex is dyed using GOTS certified dyes to achieve their range of colors.
- ♻️ Recyclable : Piñatex can be repurposed at the end of its life, protecting soil from erosion.
Malai key features:
- 💦 Water Resistant : Malai offers a durable, water-resistant material for a range of products.
- ♻️ Biodegradable : At the end of its lifecycle, Malai can be composted, leaving no trace behind.
- 🔄 Waste Transformation : Malai transforms coconut water waste from other industries into a useful and beautiful material.
