ALEAF believes that as important as it is to use materials that are environmentally friendly, it is our responsibility to reduce landfill and ocean waste by recycling or reusing our products at the end of their life.

Once your ALEAF accessory reaches its end, you can follow the steps outlined below on how to responsibly dispose, recycle or reuse them.

You can also return your item to ALEAF and we will handle the recycling of the product for you. For more information, contact us at info@aleaflk.com. Once we receive your item, you will receive a 10% discount on your next purchase.

Desserto

Once your ALEAF accessory has come to the end of its life, you can recycle your product by swapping it with friends or family, donate it to a charity or sell it to a thrift store.

You can also return your item to ALEAF and we will handle the recycling of the product for you. For more information, contact us.

GOTS 100% Organic Cotton

You can reuse the organic cotton lining or send the lining to the nearest textile recycling company to you.

By recycling the GOTS 100% Organic Cotton lining used in our products you will help reduce landfill waste. The recycled cotton is used to make new fabric further reducing the amount of water, dye, energy and chemicals needed.

Hardware or Fastenings

We urge you to recycle all of the metal fastenings used on our products.

You can return the item to us and we will be happy to recycle it for you. Additionally, you can find the nearest company to you that recycles non-ferrous metals.

Malai

Malai is made out of natural fibers and can be composted at home as well as recycled. Once added to your compost bin, Malai will biodegrade in approximately 150 days.

How to compost:

Step 1: Remove all metal trimmings/zippers, etc. from the item.

Step 2: Shred or cut the material into smaller pieces (3*3cm would be best).

Step 3: Mix it into your compost.
